Are gifts realy exchangeable?
Yes! When they are ready to activate a gift, the recipient can exchange it for another from our range of 4500+ in 120+ countries. If a tour or activity of a higher value is chosen, the difference must be paid.
Can a gift from Gift Wrapped Travel be used at any time?
Gift certificates for specific accommodation, tours or activities: Must be activated and used within 12 months from date of purchase.Gift Wrapped Travel Passports: Must be activated and used within 24 months from date of purchase.
Do I have to pay by credit card?
As all Gift Wrapped Travel transactions are made online via our automated reservations system and secure payment gateway (Securepay), we are only able to accept payments by valid credit card or PayPal. Our online payment gateway uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) which encrypts your personal details in such a way that they are only available to the credit card companies.
How are the gift vouchers or passports delivered? Can I view prices in other currencies? Are there any other charges when purchasing from Gift Wrapped Travel? Is my credit card safe? You can view prices in a choice of currencies on Gift Wrapped Travel. If, for example, you view prices in US Dollars and you purchase a gift with a value of USD100, you will see a charge from Gift Wrapped Travel on your credit card statement in equivalent AUD Australian dollars. You can pay in your local currency by using PayPal, whether you’re a member or not. Just click on the PayPal payment option when checking out and you’ll be transferred to the secure PayPal site for payment.
Merchant Fee: To cover the cost of foreign currency transaction and exchange charges, bank and secure payment facilities, a merchant fee may be added to each transaction. This fee varies according to the credit card used and appears at the check-out.
Exchange Fee: Any travel gift can be exchanged for another on our site with payment of an exchange fee of AUD5 or equivalent local currency. You may include an exchange fee with your travel gift if you wish – this option will be offered during the purchase of travel gifts.

You can shop with confidence, because the recipient can exchange your gift for accommodation, tours or activities from our range in any country, including their own. If you can’t decide on a specific tour or activity, you can purchase a Gift Wrapped Travel Passport. They are available in a number of denominations and can be used by the recipient to buy accommodation, tours or activities from our range.
No - an approximate month will do - you don't need an exact date. The recipient has to activate the gift and at the same time they make a booking for their preferred date.

Of course! When you activate your gift, you can choose a date and add accommodation, other tours or activities as you wish. Just pay for any extras with your credit card and you're away!
Yes! Once you’ve activated or exchanged your gift, you’ll be able to continue shopping from our entire range of accommodation, tours and services from our booking engine. If you've already finalised activation of your gift, you can check out the deals from the Gift Wrapped Travel Club.
When you activate your gift, you’ll be asked whether you want to keep or exchange it. An exchange fee of AUD5 will be charged (unless this has been included in your gift). The value of the gift will be credited to your cart to be used towards any selected accommodation, tours and activities within the gift booking engine.

This will depend on the availability or booking conditions of the tour or activity. Most will be confirmed immediately, however others may take up to 48 hours. If confirmation or otherwise is not received within 72 hours, please contact our Customer Service Team for further assistance.
Gift Wrapped Travel strongly recommends travel insurance which offers protection in the event you have to cancel your trip. We offer discounted travel insurance to our Australian resident customers. If you are already in the destination city of your tour and you are unable to join it due to illness or delay, you must call the supplier shown on your voucher to reschedule. Gift Wrapped Travel vouchers are not refundable.
Tour operators reserve the right to cancel any service due to operational reasons. We recommend that you contact the service provider upon arrival to reconfirm your tour. If we are notified in advance about a cancelled tour which you have already activated and booked, you will be notified by email and you will be offered a credit of the same value as the original gift which can be used to purchase an alternative from our range.
You are responsible for the safekeeping of all documentation. Unfortunately they cannot be replaced under any circumstances.
When you exchange a gift, its value will be credited to your cart, less the exchange fee of AUD5 (unless this was included in the gift). You are then free to spend the credits as you wish. No refund is possible for any unused credits. If you purchase additional travel services, you simply pay the difference with your credit card.
Gift Wrapped Travel Passport FAQs
Click on “Activate your gift voucher here” on the Home Page and you’ll be guided through the activation process. Browse our entire range of accommodation, tours and activities worldwide and add what you want to your Gift Box. When you check-out, your account will be credited with the value of your Gift Wrapped Travel Passport(s). If the value of your Gift Box exceeds the Passport value, you can pay the balance with your credit card. Unused credit will be held in your account and may be used up to 12 months from date of issue. All credit expires 12 months from date of issue. Refund of unused credit is not available as all Gift Wrapped Travel sales are final.
Gift vouchers and Passports may only be activated and used within the Gift Wrapped Travel booking engine provided for this purpose. Gift vouchers and passports cannot be used to buy services from Gift Wrapped Travel partners featured in the Travel Club section.

Yes – click on Create A Wishlist and choose from accommodation, tours, activities – or even Gift Wrapped Travel Passport denominations if you haven’t finalised your travel plans yet. Going on your honeymoon? You can create a “Gift Wrapped Honeymoon” and let your wedding guests shop to YOUR heart’s content! Other travellers can create “My Travel Wishlist” and get the gifts they really want.
Gift Wrapped Honeymoons makes it easy. Create a Wishlist and follow instructions to create the ultimate honeymoon wishlist.
You create a profile first to include important information such as your contact details and delivery. Once you’ve created your wishlist, enter the email addresses of your guests and Gift Wrapped Travel will send your login details to them so that they can browse and shop from your wishlist. As gifts are purchased from the wishlist, they are automatically removed. Guests can also buy Gift Wrapped Travel Passports that can be redeemed for accommodation, tours and activities of your choice.
The same rules apply to travel gift and passport purchases from a wishlist. Unwanted gifts can be converted to a Gift Wrapped Travel Passport to spend on other accommodation, tours and activities on the site but they are not refundable under any circumstances. Credit remains in your account until expiry at 12 months from date of purchase. You can choose from our entire range across 129 countries – use your passport at home or abroad.
