Secrets of successful wishlists
As the purpose of your wishlist is to receive gifts that contribute to the cost of your holiday, the secret to achieving this is to include a broad range of gift prices.
Every guest is different and will be more likely to buy from your wishlist if they find gifts that match their budget.
Creating your wishlist
When creating your wishlist, you don't need to worry about exact dates for most things. Gifts purchased from your wishlist are for approximate dates - you book an exact date of service when you activate the gift.
Every little bit helps - so better to design your wishlist in a way that allows guests to gift you one night's accommodation, as they may not be budgeting on paying for your entire stay!
- Sightseeing & activities - select many items with a range of prices
- If a guest has a lower gift budget, they are more likely to purchase a tour that costs @$50 for one person, instead of the same tour for 2 people @$100. So if you're creating a wishlist for 2 or more people, consider adding 2 separate gifts for the same tour for each person, instead of one gift for 2 people.
- Accommodation - instead of adding one gift of a 3-night stay at "Hotel ABC" for $450, consider breaking it down to 3 x 1-night stays at "Hotel ABC" - $150 x 3.
- Make sure you include plenty of Gift Wrapped Travel Passports, which are just like receiving cash to spend on your choice of accommodation, sightseeing and activities from our booking engine.
- Gift Wrapped Travel Passport denominations are 25-50-100-200-500. If you add $100 x 10 passports, these will show as 10 gifts of $100 Passport value each on your wishlist (not 1 gift of $1000 Passport).
- Don't agonise about having to decide exactly what you want when creating your wishlist. Remember that all gifts are exchangeable - so if someone buys a gift from your wishlist that you change your mind about later - you can exchange it for something else when you're ready to activate your gifts.
